1-MCP (1-Methylcyclopropene)

1-Methylcyclopropene is a molecular similar to Ethylene.  As an inhibitor of ethylene, 1-MCP blocks the receptor of ethylene in the tissues of plants, maintains the texture, firmness, taste and appearance of fruits to prevent negative ethylene effects.

1-MCP is globally recognized as an important material for crop quality management. 1-MCP successfully keeps fruit, flowers and vegetable fresh for a long time during storage and transport.
