1-MCP Application


1-methylcyclopropene (1-MCP), as a tool to further investigate the role of ethylene in ripening and senescence,  and as a commercial technology to improve maintenance of product quality, is widely used in the world.

Fruit treated by 1-MCP to inhibit ripen. Apple, Apricot, Kiwi, Pear, Banana, Mango, Peach, Avocado, Papaya, Persimmon, Grape, Tomato, Cherry, Orange, Lemon, Mask melon, Litchi, Plum, Pineapple, Water melon.
Ornamental plants treated by 1-MCP to inhibit senescence and to prolong flower life and appearance. Azalea, Peony, Lily, Rose, Orchid, Carnation,

Tulip, Petunia, Cacti, Antirrhinum, Anemone, Chrysanthemum

Vegetables treated by 1-MCP to inhibit senescence. Tomatoes, Broccoli, Cucumber, Cabbage, Radish,Potatoes,Asparagus, Cauliflower, Celery, Lettuce.
